Whats new in 2017.1.2

This version of Wolf EMR offers the following enhancements, many new and updated SMART forms, as well as fixes for known issues.

Booking appointments from messages

You can now quickly book an appointment for a patient from within a message. In the Message window, click Book Appointment.

Patient search enhancements

When performing an advanced search for inactive patients, you can now exclude deceased patients. In the search list, select ALL - Excluding Deceased.

When performing a practice search, the list of providers is now sorted in alphabetic order.

Configuring the warning message when reviewing another provider's lab results

You can configure whether the following warning appears when you review lab results that belong to another provider. By default, users are NOT warned. Administrators can enable this warning for all users in the clinic.

To warn all users in the clinic, from the main toolbar choose Configuration > Runtime Configuration > WorkDesk Preferences > Miscellaneous tab, and select the Prompt to Confirm Non-owner Lab Review check box.

To configure whether you as a user see the warning, from the WorkDesk, choose Configure > Configure WorkDesk > Miscellaneous tab. For the Prompt to Confirm Non-owner Lab Review setting, to remove the warning, clear the check box in the Apply Clinic Setting column. Or, to see the warning, select the check box in the User Setting column.

Possessive pronouns in templates

You can now insert the following bookmarks for the "his" or "hers" possessive pronoun within your document templates.

PossessivePronoun: his for male, her for female, blank for gender not known

PossessivePronounCAP: His for male, Her for female, blank for gender not known

ObjectivePronoun: him for male, her for female, blank for gender not known

ObjectivePronounCAP: Him for male, Her for female, blank for gender not known

Performance enhancements

We improved the performance of running the Accounts Receivable report (Billing > Reports > Accounting Reports)

We improved the performance of running customized appointment reports (Scheduling > Reports > Customized Appointment Report).
